If you keep doing the thing that you love then someone, somewhere will notice you. Fortunately for Joe Dyson, that “someone” was a Reddit user, who posted his YouTube channel to the site and has now catapulted the aging stand-up comedian out of obscurity.
Before Reddit user jamesduggan96 made the post about Joe Dyson’s YouTube account, in which he hosts ‘The Dyson Show’ and delivers his own jokes, Dyson had only 22 subscribers after uploading 505 videos. At the time of this writing, Dyson now has over 20,000 subscribers… and counting.

The below video, which is the one jamesduggan96 included in the post, reached the front page of Reddit and has now amassed over 150,000 views. Not bad considering that he previously struggled to get 10 views on any of his uploads.
Joe has yet to comment on his newly found fame, though we can only imagine the impact this would have had on him. According to Huff Post, Joe attempted to break into the stand-up comedy world in San Francisco back in the 1970s. He’s also the author of several books, none of which have really taken off.
Though I’m not particularly a huge fan of Joe’s one-liners, it’s nice to see the Internet banding together in such a way. I hope you have fun with your Internet fame, Joe.
