It’s been a good week for Lady Gaga.
Just a few days after her showstopping performance at the Oscars, Gaga’s next destination is the new season of American Horror Story. FX has announced that the controversial singer is joining the cast of American Horror Story: Hotel, the fifth season of FX’s popular horror anthology.
In addition to her fame as an international pop star, Gaga (real name: Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) has also had small roles in Machete Kills, Muppets Most Wanted and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For in addition to a guest part on The Simpsons.

Details about Gaga’s character on American Horror Story are currently unannounced. It’s also unclear which cast members will return from previous seasons of American Horror Story. Deadline’s report suggests that Jessica Lange might sign on for another season after previously insisting that American Horror Story: Freak Show would be her last year on the series.
American Horror Story: Hotel will debut this fall on FX.
