Poor WRX.
Look, we’re not ignorant to the fact that this franchise has blown the hell out of a shitload of cars. What we were ignorant of though, is how many Furious 7 totaled in the name of glorious, destructive filmmaking.
It totals up to…over 200. It’s actually 230 to be exact, but who’s really counting, right? I mean, you have your run-of-the-mill chase wrecks and stuff, but there’s also a damned tank in this film too, so let’s just come to terms with the fact that Universal probably threw a giant pile of cash at the production team and said “Go buy a buncha cars, a tank, you know…whatever, but make sure to keep the destruction down to like 25 vehicles a day, alright? We’re only giving you one bajillion dollars to play with here, so don’t act like we gave you two bajillion.”
Yeah, we’re pretty sure that’s how that conversation went down, considering the insanity of the action that ended up on the screen. And we’re okay with that.
