A Horizon Zero Dawn gameplay demo was showcased at E3 2016, and for all intents and purposes tit is basically Zoids: The Game.
Okay, so maybe it has more of a prehistoric feel to it than the futuristic kids TV series/toy line, but all the elements are in place. There’s the half robot, half dinosaur creatures littering its landscape, there’s… actually, it’s just that one thing. Still, I think that’s more than enough to draw comparisons between it and the ’90s series.
Developed by Killzone creators Guerrilla Games, Horizon Zero Dawn is a third-person action game in which assume the role of Aloy, an archer who is tasked with navigating a post-apocalyptic landscape filled with robotic dinosaurs. The gameplay footage previewed at E3 2016 had a very Far Cry feel to it, albeit with a different camera perspective, depicting Aloy hunting down various mechanical beasts before riding atop one of them.
