Later this summer, AMC will go back to the ’80s and the dawn of the age of computers when Halt and Catch Fire returns for its third season. But first, fans will get the chance to catch up on the series when Halt and Catch Fire: The Complete Second Season hits DVD in August!
The second season spent a lot of time with Mackenzie Davis’ Cameron Howe and Kerry Bishé’s Donna Clark as they attempted to keep their online game company, Mutiny afloat. Within the world of the series, Cameron and Donna are some of the first individuals to recognize the potential for the technology to completely change how people communicate. And that’s the focus of CraveOnline’s exclusive video from the Halt and Catch Fire Season 2 DVD.
In this clip, executive producer Mark Johnson talks about “electronic connection” of the present was born in the earliest gaming scenes, as Bishé also offers her thoughts about playing a visionary who recognized the full potential of what she had a hand in creating.
That clip came from the “History of Now” featurette, which is included on the season 2 set with other exclusive videos including a set tour with series stars Lee Pace and Scoot McNairy, and Joe’s Strategic Benchmarks, and a tour of an ’80s start up to go along with the ten episodes from the second season.
Halt and Catch Fire: The Complete Second Season DVD will be released on Tuesday, August 9. AMC hasn’t currently announced a date for the third season premiere, but it should also be coming in August.
