Movie Network, HBO Canada, and CraveTV Programming Secures 146 Nominations for the 68th Primetime Emmys

The Movie Network, HBO Canada, and CraveTV earned 146 Primetime Emmy nominations this year, as announced earlier last week by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

HBO/Cinemax once again led the nominations this year, with a total of 98 nominations, the most of any network. Highlights of Emmy-nominated programming available on HBO Canada includes: Game of Thrones (23), Veep (17), Silicon Valley (11), Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (6), and Real Time with Bill Maher (1). Additional buzzworthy HBO films, documentaries, and specials which secured nominations include: All The Way (8), Confirmation (2) Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo (3), and Lemonade (4).

Showtime-nominated programming available in Canada exclusively on The Movie Network and CraveTV includes Ray Donovan (5), Penny Dreadful (5), Masters of Sex (3), The Affair (1). The Showtime documentary Listen to Me Marlon was also nominated for Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Special. Movie Network and HBO Canada subscribers can catch up on Emmy-nominated Showtime and HBO programming now on TMN GO.

Emmy-nominated Showtime programming is also streaming now to subscribers of CraveTV, in addition to exclusive hit programs: Grease: Live! (10), Key & Peele (7), South Park (3), Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee (1), and The Seventies (1).

Additionally, previously announced event series Roots garnered eight Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Limited Series, and comes to CraveTV subscribers this fall.

The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards airs live Sunday, September 18th exclusively on CTV.
