FIFA 17 has a brand new gameplay trailer, showing off the game’s use of EA Sports’ Frostbite Engine, new animations and celebrations, and a dancing Jurgen Klopp for good measure.
FIFA 17 is the first game in the series to adopt the Frostbite Engine, which is typically employed by developers DICE for their Battlefield series, with this new gameplay footage showing the dramatic improvements its introduction has allowed EA to make. The lighting looks better, the character models more realistic and the celebrations more plentiful.
This year’s FIFA looks set to boast the biggest array of changes in quite some time, as alongside the Frostbite Engine there is also the introduction of a new single-player Journey mode, allowing players to take an amateur footballer from small town games to the big leagues, along with the introduction of actual Premier League managers. One such manager is Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who makes an appearance in this new trailer dancing and celebrating alongside his team.
