One time after “Fight Club” had just come out one of my coworkers (who knew I was a big indie rock fan) said, “Hey, I heard that Pixies song during the credits. That’s a pretty good song.”
First off, he’s an asshole for never having heard “Where Is My Mind” before seeing “Fight Club.” And he’s a double asshole for having to go to the movies to hear that song. That story has nothing to do with “Manta Ray” being the Pixies most underrated indie rock song, but I had to get it off my chest.
