Spider-Man the Drama Queen: Every Instance Spider-Man Quit Being A Superhero

We all know Spider-Man’s signature catchphrase, passed down from his beloved Uncle Ben: “With great power comes great responsibility.” Those words are truly ones to live by, but at the same time, seem to be easier said than done, especially for Spider-Man himself. Since 1962’s “Amazing Fantasy #15,” when Spider-Man made his debut, one particular story has reared its ugly head way more than it should, especially when it comes to the iconic hero’s own motto. Don’t get us wrong, 50+ years is a long time for any character to remain relevant and fresh, and Spider-Man definitely pulls it off. However, we find it a bit strange for a guy who lives and breathes by such a powerful slogan to have tossed aside his red and blue tights and called it quits as many times as he has.
