Plans for this year’s Parliament Hill New Year’s Eve party in Ottawa were recently revealed, and headlining the musical performances is hometown songstress Carly Rae Jepsen.
Radio Radio and Brett Kissel will be performing as well. Canada is turning 150 years old in 2017. Organizers have also promised a pyromusical fireworks display.
Meanwhile, according to reports, the Sheepdogs, New Pornographers, Wintersleep, Yukon Blonde, and Humans will be taking to the stage at a big New Year’s Eve party in Vancouver.
“Dec. 31 will be a big celebration in Ottawa,” said Pierre-Olivier Herbert, press secretary to Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly (to the Ottawa Citizen). “That’s the only thing I can tell you.”
