Next week, the epic comic book crossover between Big Trouble in Little China and Escape from New York, and the twin Snakes have a big snake problem!
You see, Ol’ Jack Burton of Big Trouble fame was magically drawn into a parallel timeline in which the apocalyptic timeline of Escape From New York played out. In that world, Jack looks a lot like Snake Plissken, the one-eyed antihero who has a strong Kurt Russell resemblence himself. Jack and Snake don’t exactly like each other, but they’ve joined forces to save some folks from a band marauders and escort them to safety.
Unfortunately, the spirit of Jack’s nemesis, David Lo Pan has also traveled between the worlds and he’s gotten his hands on the magic scroll that summoned Jack. Now, an army of Snake Plisskens from across the multiverse are on their way to carry out Lo Pan’s bidding. There’s female Snake, Giant Snake, Chibi Snake, Black Snake, Cyborg Snake, and even Snake Snake! They’ve all got eye patches, and they’re all out for blood.
In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview for Big Trouble in Little China/Escape from New York # 3 , the Snake army catches up to the real Snake and Jack, both of whom are now severely outgunned!
Greg Pak is writer for this misadventure, with artist Daniel Bayliss on interior pages and the primary cover. Comic legend Eric Powell drew the variant subscription cover. Here’s the official issue description from Boom! Studios:
“Snake and Jack must team up with their mortal enemies to face the endless threat of magic unleashed upon dystopian America.”
Big Trouble in Little China/Escape From New York # 3 will be released on Wednesday, December 7.
