Exclusive | Titan Brings ‘Tekken’ Back To Comics In May

Later this year, Tekken 7 will bring one of the greatest fighting game franchises into the current console generation. But it’s only the beginning! After too many years, Tekken is finally getting a comic book comeback in May.

At the annual ComicsPro meeting, Titan Comics is slated to unveil a brand new Tekken comic book series by Cavan Scott (Doctor Who, Vikings: Uprising) and artist Andie Tong (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). According to Titan, the new series “will tap into Tekken’s rich history, and will feature memorable characters from the celebrated video game canon including Jin Kazama, Heihachi Mishima, Yoshimitsu, Nina Williams and Paul Phoenix.” That’s good, but we’re still hoping to finally get some answers about Unknown!

As part of the announcement, CraveOnline is proud to debut two of the interior pages for Tekken # 1. And as you can see, they’re very impressive!

Additionally, we have the first look at the covers by Alex Ronald, Andie Tong, Anton Kokarev, Jimbo Salgado, and Nick Percival.

“I’m so excited to be bringing the explosive world of Tekken back to comics.” said Scott in a statement. “I’ve been a fan of the series ever since I slipped the first game into my PlayStation back in 1995. We’re having great fun delving into the series’ history to bring back some familiar faces, along with all the fan-favorite fighters you’d expect. There’s going to be intrigue, danger and, of course, knock-out battles galore!”

Tekken # 1 will be released in May. In addition to the traditional physical copies, digital editions will also be available for fans who prefer to read their comics on a computer
