Jay Z and Pink have been announced as V Festival 2017’s headliners, with Stormzy, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental and Craig David also being added to the bill. Unfortunately for its organisers, many are not happy with these announcements.
The event will mark Jay Z’s first return to the UK since his Magna Carter tour back in 2013, with it now being speculated that he will release new material ahead of the festival. Taking place in Hylands Park and Weston Park in Staffordshire from August 19 – 20, the line-up also includes Pete Tong, Jess Glynne, George Ezra, Jason Derulo and Madness.
Take a look at the poster for the festival below:
Last year’s V Festival featured headline performances from Rihanna and Justin Bieber, with many on Twitter unfavourably comparing this year’s line-up to its predecessor. Despite Jay Z being a major coup for its organisers, it seems a lot of music fans were turned off by Pink as a headliner and the rest of its roster, leading to the following tweets:

Regardless of the tepid reaction to the line-up announcement, tickets for the festival will go online this Friday starting from 9am.
