I haven’t been to an amusement park in years, but videos like this one involving a cable snapping during a ride, or this one of a kid having his seatbelt fail while on a rollercoaster, just give me more proof that I should just stay on the ground holding everyone’s purse while they go on the rides. Oh, and the video below makes me even more OK with my decision.
The footage below shows a fairground ride at the Liu Chengcun Wangya Temple fair in China’s Xihe county filled with people, and a lot of kids, completely collapse out of nowhere and crush them. The reason behind the accident was a central iron cylinder that snapped. Now I don’t know what that means — all I know is that it’s a massive fail. Thankfully, everyone somehow survived.
Check out the crazy footage below.
Crazy Moment A Ride Full Of People Collapses
There were some injuries, as a nine-year-old kid and eight adults sustained injuries while trapped under the ride, but again, everyone survived this ordeal.
This is what one person there had to say: “Fortunately, it was not completely into its cycle, because if it was it would’ve been much higher up and more people would have been hurt.”
Well that’s good.
The ride has been demolished, while police continue to investigate the incident. In other news, I’m sticking to the carnival games from now on. That can’t kill me.
