Study Says Gingers Have More Sex And More Sexual Partners

Gingers may be soulless, empty shells masquerading as real human beings, but the fact of the matter is that those wannabe people get around like no one else. Not only does a recent study show that redheads tend to have more partners than other people do, they also apparently have sex more frequently with their partners than blondes and brunettes.

The expert on sex (that’s a real job) who ran the study which lead to these intriguing findings on hair color and intimacy had some comments to make on these results. Dr. Werner Habermehl looked at the sex lives of hundreds of German women specifically and compared the results with the hair colors of the women, concluding that, “The research shows that the ‘fiery redhead’ certainly lives up to her reputation.” Habermehl also warned that because of this, “even women in a fixed relationship are letting their partners know they are unhappy if they dye their hair red. They are saying that they are looking for someone better”.

Now right away the science-minded among our readers might be seeing some red flags going up on this redhead experimentation. The study only included German people and among them only women with seemingly no regard for sexual orientation as a factor, and while hundreds of them may seem like a large sample size at first glance, it’s important to remember that there are over seven billion human beings alive right now and so that’s actually a comparatively small number. Because of this, it is possible that the results were skewed to some extent.

However, psychologist Christine Baurmanns has said that there may still be an accurate basis for these findings because red specifically “stands for passion” in the male human mind. What this means, in her words, is that “when a man sees a redhead he will think he is dealing with a woman who won’t mess around, and gets straight to the point when it comes to sex”.

It’s strange that the same group that apparently represents a psychological drive for passionate embrace has also become known for lacking the capacity for emotions like love, but there you have it. While further study may be needed, it does seem as if current findings indicate that gingers really do seem to be overcompensating for their lack of souls by having a lot of intercourse. Do the men reading out there agree that red is a hair color that drives them, and if so how do the women readers feel about either being in increased demand or being less favored than some glorified redhead automatons?
