Violent protests have erupted across Brazil over the last several days in retaliation to the President Michel Temer’s proposed social security and labor reforms, with things like a minimum retirement age really chapping that country’s workforce’s asses. There are reports of pissed off people setting fire to buses in Rio de Janeiro while others have been setting up shop in front of the president’s house.
And according to Mirror, another one of those protests took place Friday afternoon on a highway in the city of São Paulo. With buses and trains not in service due to so many of the workers taking to the streets in an effort to have their voices heard, that meant the more the 14 million people who use public transportation everyday had to find a new way to get from Point A to Point B.
Naturally, the most logical solution was to hop in a car, but that also turned out to be idea because of the 100 or so protestors who were blocking traffic. Well, at least they were until this guy decided to test the strength of their wall.
Let’s see how that turned out:
Damn, Daniel. Two girls were seriously injured thanks to that maneuver, one that the driver said was necessary because he had to get to his sick grandmother.
In a related story, if the Brazilian equivalent to Domino’s Pizza is doing a delivery promotion in which you get a free pizza if the driver fails to get it to you in 30 minutes or less, now seems like the time to take advantage of that.
