Hardly any musicians have stronger emotional connections with their fans than Kid Cudi, and the multi-talented rapper, singer, and producer achieved that privilege with genuine sincerity, originality, and vulnerbility, combined with an ear for new, unexplored melodies. Debuting in 2009, Cudi has already released six studio albums: Man on the Moon: The End of Day (2009), Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager (2010), Indicud (2013), Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon (2014), Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven (2015), Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ (2016).
While Kid Cudi’s new album wasn’t received well at all, and even those before that weren’t successful, that cannot deminish the legacy that the young artist already has behind him.

10. My World ft. Billy Cravens(Man on the Moon: The End of Day)
The mellow, chill track with high, louder choruses is one of Cudi’s trademarks, and the Cleveland-rapper had the help of another multi-talented artist Billy Cravens for that in My World. Almost an acapella track due to the quietness of the piano instrumental, and it’s the lyrics and the message that get the center stage place in this track. But it’s Billy who transcends the ultimate autumn track with his rising, amazing yet simple vocals.
9. Marijuana (Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager)
Mr. Rager is recognized as one of the biggest marijuana enthusiasts on the rap scene, which is truly a big success, and you can see that easily on Kid Cudi’s Twitter and in his songs. So it’s pretty expected of him to have songs about it, but it was deemed almost impossible for him to have such good weed-related songs due to the long-standing flood of them. Simply named Marijuana has a religious, anthem-like tone, giving the plant the respect and credibility it deserves, while also keeping that smoking, stoned, fun vibe.
8. Day ‘n’ Night vs. Crookers
The reason why people who aren’t into rap music at all know about Kid Cudi. The Italian producer duo Crookers took the Day ‘n’ Night track and remixed it into a global club anthem. It’s uncanny how a track with the same lyrics can have two different, opposing tones and still work great with both of them. A genre-crossing hit had the almost equally famous video, which Cudi didn’t approve of and was actually released without his permission.
7. King Wizard (Indicud)
An edgier, grittier, harder Cudi, while still remaining his almost unrivaled level of sincerity and originality. The ambiental and electronic beat is produced by Cudi, and however unique and good it is, it’s the color of Cudi’s voice that sells this low-key personal hype-up song. Even though it’s different topically and tonally, this track goes amazingly well in duo with its successor on this best Kid Cudi songs list.
6. Just What I Am ft. King Chip (Indicud)
It’s become pretty tiring how many weed related songs are there in rap music, which makes the success of Cudi’s Just What I Am that much greater, as he managed to make the stale topic fresh, yet again. Quite possibly the best marijuana-related track of this not so young anymore decade. Kid collabs with a – based on his verse – surprisingly underheard Ohio rapper King Chip, although it’s the vocally-modified chorus and the unusual instrumental that make this track epic.
