4 New Acts Added To The Roster For The CBC Music Festival

CBC Music announced that Daniela Andrade, The Beaches, Jon Bryant and Birds of Bellwoods will join the slate of Canadian musicians set to perform at Toronto’s RBC Echo Beach for the CBC Music Festival on Saturday, May 27th.

Limited tickets are still available through Live Nation at cbcmusic.ca/festival for $39.50 + fees.

Here’s what you need to know about these up-and-coming Canadian musicians.

Daniela Andrade

Daniela Andrade is a singer-songwriter based out of Toronto and Montreal. Originally known for her stripped-down acoustic covers and originals on YouTube, her music and videos have accumulated over 300 million streams/plays and built her a loyal worldwide following of over 1 million YouTube Subscribers.

The Beaches

This all-female Indie rock band has a string of Canadian performance dates lined up this summer. They are best known for this hit tracks like “Wanna Know Your Name” and “Boy Wonder.”

Jon Bryant

Jon Bryant’s popularity is growing within the international music industry for his unique musical style of haunting-ambient dream-folk and singer/songwriter roots. At the start of his musical career, Jon Bryant’s single “Deaf” was selected as the iTunes single-of-the-week and his debut album the featured singer-songwriter album. Bryant followed up his online success with his follow up album What Takes You in 2012 and numerous TV sync placements while touring throughout North America and Europe. In 2016 Bryant released his highly anticipated dream-folk album Twenty Something.

Birds of Bellwoods

Birds of Bellwoods are known for their lyrical story telling, lush harmonies, and tight musicianship. Comprised of Stephen Joffe (lead vocal/mandolin), Adrian Morningstar (guitar/vocal), Chris Blades (banjo/electric guitar/vocals) and Kintaro Akiyama (upright bass/vocals), the group is currently working on a full-length album to follow up their award-winning debut EP The Fifth. Having sold out iconic venues including The Horseshoe Tavern, The Mod Club, and Sneaky Dee’s, and performed at festivals like Boots and Hearts, TURF, NXNE, and CMW, Birds of Bellwoods are establishing themselves as one of Toronto’s most unique emerging bands.
