10 Must-See CTV Acquisitions For The 2017/18 Season

Following a season in which CTV delivered the Top 2 most-watched new programs of the year, as well as six of the Top 10 most-watched programs overall, CTV announced it has landed 13 new series from this year’s Los Angeles Screenings. Among the four new comedies and nine new dramas, these are the 10 must-see CTV acquisitions.

Young Sheldon, the highly anticipated new comedy from the geniuses that brought us Canada’s most-watched series The Big Bang Theory.

Me, Myself & I, a comedy with an entirely different take on examining one man’s life over a 50-year span.

• Two all-new dramas from primetime’s reigning queen Shonda Rhimes with legal thriller For The People and the as yet untitled Grey’s Anatomy spinoff which follows a group of heroic firefighters.

• Hospital drama The Good Doctor, from prodigious Canadian showrunner David Shore, with a trailer that has already seen more than 25 million views.

• Mystery-thriller Ten Days In The Valley from Canadian Film Centre alumnus Tassie Cameron, starring Kyra Sedgwick.

Deception, a new take on the police procedural that appoints a crime-solving magician to deal its dramatic twists

• Two new family-focused dramas from the Marvel universe, including comic book-inspired adventure Marvel’s Unhumans and the action-packed, mutant thriller The Gifted.

• And the revival of the eponymous, award-winning and boundary-breaking 1988-97 comedy Roseanne, with a trailer that has already racked up the most views of any new series with more than 33 million to date, and counting.
