This year, Prison Break fans witnessed the resurrection of Michael Scofield, a man who died seven years ago at the end of the original series! As it turns out, there was more to that death than it seemed at the time, and it fell upon Lincoln Burrows to save his brother and bring him home to America.
Next week, you’ll be able to bring home Lincoln and Michael in the Prison Break: Event Series DVD and Blu-ray release, which features all nine episodes of the revival series as well as special features. Today, CraveOnline is proud to reveal one of those special features: a video about Michael’s heroic journey. According to series creator Paul Scheuring, the key was realizing that Michael’s odyssey had direct parallels to the actual Odyssey story, and it made for some interesting themes in the revival season. Some of the twists and turns seem more natural once you realize that this story has been told before, hundreds of years ago.

Prison Break: Event Series will be released on Tuesday, June 27. Additionally, there’s a new box set of the complete Prison Break, including the event series, that is also dropping in stores on the same date.
