‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 Will Air on Netflix UK a Week Later Than US

Episodes of Rick and Morty season 3 will be released on Netflix UK a week later than their air date in the US, with its premiere set to release on July 30.

The first episode of the animated series’ third season has already been broadcast in the US, with it appearing on Adult Swim’s website on April Fools’ Day this year, but it will appear on Netflix UK on July 30. Meanwhile, in the US the second episode of season 3 will be broadcast on July 30, placing the UK a week behind viewers from across the pond.

The first episode of Rick and Morty season 3 was initially believed to be a prank pulled on behalf of the show’s creators, with it only being briefly available to stream on the Adult Swim site. However, when it was revealed as real, fans began eagerly anticipating more episodes, only to learn that creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland were still working on them.

With season 2 having last aired in October 2015, fans have been waiting impatiently for nearly two years for Rick and Morty season 3 to start rolling. Though the UK will have to wait a little longer to watch the new episodes than the US, we’re sure that few will mind having to twiddle their thumbs for another week in order to see a brand new episode of the heavily delayed season.

Adult Swim has also been releasing a variety of “non-canonical adventures” starring Rick and Morty in the run-up to season 3. They posted the following clip of the characters aping A Clockwork Orange earlier today:
