Porn site xHamster has made an unusual proposal to Sense8 creators Lana and Lilly Wachowski, offering to produce the third season of the show after it was cancelled by Netflix.
Netflix cut Sense8 from its line-up of original programming earlier this year, a decision that led to widespread criticism from its dedicated fan base. The support shown for the cancelled show led to Netflix allowing the Wachowskis to air a special, two-hour finale next year, but now xHamster has offered the sisters the opportunity to bring the show back permanently.
“Ever since we read about the cancellation, we’ve been wondering if there was something we could do,” the letter reads. “xHamster is currently one of the most trafficked websites on the internet,” it continued. “We get more visitors daily than the New York Times, ESPN or the Daily Mail. In short, we have the eyeballs, and the revenue. Unlike with Netflix, you wouldn’t be competing for part of our production budget — it would be yours.”
xHamster then went on to note that it had “a long history of fighting for the rights of sexual speech,” asking the Wachowskis if they could organize a meeting in order to discuss the possibility of bringing the show to the site. Read the letter in full below:

Sense8 moving to xHamster would be an unprecedented move, and while we can’t imagine many people would be as comfortable with going to a porn site to watch the new episodes as they would be with visiting Netflix, it would at least give fans the season 3 they’ve been hoping for. Hell, it may even attract a few more viewers form xHamster’s regular visitors, stumbling over to the critically acclaimed sci-fi show after watching Ass Masters 3.
