I will be the first person to tell you that I don’t know much about football and I won’t pretend to know about it. I do know the name Cam Newton and I do know that he’s quite popular in the sport. I also know that he’s an idiot who happened to make a sexist remark during a press conference.
The 28-year-old NFL quarterback for the Carolina Panthers recently had a press conference were he fielded questions from reporters — one of those reporters was Jourdan Rodrigue from the Charlotte Observer. Newton responded to the question by acting surprised that a “female” would know about “routes.” Check out the reaction below.
Not very bright, Cam. And Rodrigue was quick to respond on her Twitter.
I don’t think it’s “funny” to be a female and talk about routes. I think it’s my job.

And Newton was quick to “express regret.”
In summation: Panthers say Cam expressed regret, not that he apologized. Jourdan says he did not apologize. NFL: Comments are “plain wrong.”

Well, Twitter isn’t letting Newton off the hook. Check out some of the best reactions to all of this.
Out of 32 starting NFL quarterbacks, Cam Newton’s total QBR is 25th. That “female” knows routes better than he does. pic.twitter.com/f6NCEqwl1d

Cam Newton kicks off October’s NFL Wear Pink campaign in a very NFL way.

Next time, tell him it’s “funny” to hear a QB who completed <53% of his passes last year talking about concepts like Completion %.

So an adult woman should be laughed at where she works like she’s a child?

Doesn’t seem like a coincidence that every donkey defending Cam cannot spell for their life.

Would he have laughed a man asked the question? No

Cam Newton is not the sharpest knife in the drawer to start with.

So what do you all think? Sexist or no?
