Before we start, Henry Cavill is dating a 19-year old college chick. Good for him. Maybe she can tell him why it isn’t called “dogcalling”.
The Superman actor Henry Cavill has suggested there is a double standard at the heart of society’s attitude towards sexist comments in public. “If a girl shouts something like ‘Oi love, fancy a shag?’ to me as I walk past, I do sometimes wonder how she’d feel if a builder said that to her,” he told the Sunday Times Style magazine….Asked whether women propositioned him in the street, Cavill — whose film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released on March 25 — said: “Well, I’ve heard some things. I don’t mind it, unless I’m with my girlfriend and someone is being complimentary to me in order to disrespect her.”
Very interesting argument. I can see where he’s coming from actually. Now let’s completely unravel that argument with his next quote.
“Although I wouldn’t feel physically threatened, as she might.”
Well, there you go. There might be a double standard if women catcalled actual cats.
