Even The Best Casts In Movie History Can’t Top ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’

Quentin Tarantino has long been hailed the bloodiest director with some of the best casts in movie history. From Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction to his most recent The Hateful Eight, his latest is possibly the greatest cast yet. Although he has signed on for an “untitled Star Trek” project, the Kill Bill director claims Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, set for 2019 release, will be his tenth and final film. You will see why after you check out the entirety of this line-up.

Following a little dust-up with the #MeToo movement, Tarantino has been quiet on the details as the cast continues to grow. Leonardo DiCaprio in set to play lead with Brad Pitt playing his stunt double. Of course, he’s also included several veterans to his films like Michael Madsen, Tim Roth and Kurt Russell. Despite the controversy, the voice of True Romance is bringing on plenty of sexy female talent, as well. Margot Robbie and Zoe Bell certainly stand out, as well as Dakota Fanning and…well, obviously, Luke Perry.

If you think anyone can top this film with a better cast, we challenge you with ten more of the greatest ensembles in movie history, all of which seem highly unattainable, yet none can compete with what’s coming. Even if they could, we still didn’t even mention the rest of Once Upon a Time’s  stunning cast including Timothy Olphant, Emilie Hirsch, James Marsden and Boogie Nights own Burt Reynolds. Oh, and there’s one more we forgot — a lesser-known fella you might’ve heard of named Mr. Al Pacino. Ring any bells?

Ocean’s 8

The new Ocean’s 8 features Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett at the helm with Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kahling and Awkwafina on the team. Not to mention Damian Lewis, James Corden, Dakota Fanning and some members of the previous “Ocean’s” films.

After their first heist, Clooney and Pitt added Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta Jones to their team, along with Vincent Cassell to Andy Garcia’s villains roster. The third installment added Al Pacino (again, whoever he is).

Avengers: Infinity War

Every actor ever showed up in Marvel’s $2 billion baby, including anybody who wore tights as a child or thought, at some point, they might have been a superhero in the mirror. Seriously though, we’re not naming the 30+ big-name actors herein.

A Futile and Stupid Gesture

One of the latest, greatest Netflix movies to drop is the Doug Kennedy biopic comedy with Will Forte in the lead. What we weren’t expecting was the laundry list of great actors to pop up (especially considering Bill Murray and the SNL stars didn’t play themselves in the movie). Joel McHale played Chevy Chase, along with Emmy Rossum, Matt Walsh, Martin Mull, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Sheer, Ed Helms, Max Greenfield, Neil Casey (that creepy/terrible villain from the Ghostbusters reboot), Brian Huskey and Carly Gallo. Plenty more lesser-known, yet somewhat ubiquitous comedy actors popped in, as well.

Moonrise Kingdom

Wes Anderson has long been known for his ensembles with recurring big names. Each film usually introduces a new lead and the return, of course, of Bill Murray. In addition to extensive casts in films like The Royal Tenenbaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel, Anderson had an especially impressive cast for Moonrise Kingdom — none of whom were the two leads — including Bruce Willis, Ed Norton, Frances McDormand, Jason Schwartzman, Harvey Keitel and Tilda Swinton.

Any Scorsese movie is going to have a ridiculously good cast, usually involving Boston-based actors or guys who do a good job playing them. However, we were still blown away by the star-studded A-list cast for this one: Jack Nicholson, Leo, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Alex Baldwin, Martin Sheen and Vera Farmiga.

The Outsiders

A number of our favorite youthful-looking elder actors were together in The Outsiders, including the never-aging Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Emilio and Patrick Swayze.  Sofia Coppola, Diane Lane and Tom Waits also made appearances.

Tropic Thunder

What do you get when you throw comedy greats like Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Danny McBride, Robert Downey Jr. and Bill Hader in with crazy Nick Nolte, a dash of dashing Matthew McConaughey and a psychotic, bald Tom Cruise? You get genius. That’s Tropic Thunder.

Furious 7

In Paul Walker’s furious farewell, the original cast of Vin, Paul, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordan Brewster, Tyrese and Luda was joined by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. But let us not forget Rhonda Rousey, Gal Gadot and Kurt Russell.
