Rappers are always trying to outdo one another with the bling. But one Mexican hip-hop artist may have taken his quest to become a “metalhead” a little too far. 23-year-old Dan Sur had hooks surgically implanted in his scalp so he could hang gold chains from them, making him the first rapper “in human history” to rock this look.
“The truth is that I wanted to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair. I hope not everyone copies me now,” he said in one of his many viral TikTok videos.

As if the pain and suffering of scalp and dental surgery weren’t enough to give us pause on such a dramatic transformation, all that gold seems like an open invitation to get robbed. But instead of just taking your wallet or your jewelry, you’re going to lose your hair and teeth. Seems like an unnecessary risk to us, but you do you, dude.
