LeBron James Becomes Highest-Paid NBA Player (Here’s How Much This Baller Is Banking)

Ready to feel insanely jealous? As if LeBron James weren’t envy-worthy enough as a 6’9” pro basketball star, the Los Angeles Laker is now the highest-paid NBA player ever in the league. How well-paid? (Do you really want to hear this?)

The baller has accepted $97.1 million in a two-year extension of his contract with the team. For those keeping score at home, that means King James has amassed $532 million in guaranteed career earnings. As if this weren’t enough of a slam dunk, how do you like this fact? LeBron James is only 37 years old and he’s already an official billionaire.

We’ll wait while you cry over your paltry paystubs and/or measly savings account statement and/or non-existent retirement fund.

The Lakers even sweetened the deal by including a player option for the 2024 – 2025 season. In layman’s terms, James can just decide to not play the final year of the contract. Because why should celebrity athletes be expected to earn their outrageous paychecks, right?

Is James worth that massive payday? Well, basketball fans can find out starting Oct. 18 when the new season gets underway.
