Is there any more storied couple in the history of must-see sitcoms than Ross and Rachel on Friends? We think not. The on-again, off-again beaus were really the only reason for watching the show for 10 exhausting seasons. And even now, over 18 years after the series about six pals navigating life, love, and work in New York City concluded, Ross and Rachel (or rather, the actors who played them, David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston), still get under our skin.
To wit: David Schwimmer recently teased his former co-star Jennifer Aniston with a cheeky Instagram re-creation. See, Aniston posted a suggestive pic of herself in the shower by way of promoting a forthcoming collaboration with her haircare company, LolaVie. In the steamy shot, Aniston is nude and facing away from the camera as the water sprays down on her. Her hair is soapy and suds cascade down her back.
“Something’s coming,” she hinted in the caption. (That’s really not something you want to say on the internet where men live, but OK.)

Rather than just “ooh” and “ahh” like all of Aniston’s fans, Schwimmer decided to tease her. He posted his own recreation of her shot, except in his version, he has soap all over his face in addition to his hair. His mouth is in a pucker-like shape, and his caption reads, “a towel I hope??”

Aniston approved of the internet equivalent of hair-pulling by sharing Schwimmer’s post and adding a crying laughing emoji, an OK hand signal, and a red heart.
Aww. (Or ick. Depends on your perspective.)
To quote another entertainment icon of the ‘90s, Reality Bites’s Janeane Garofalo, “Would you two just do it and get it over with? I’m starving.”
