The former First Lady of the United States took a dig at the Biden administration with a rare public statement. Not only that, she claimed that there were “efforts to silence” the former US President, Donald Trump.

Melania Trump’s video statement was shared on her official X (formerly Twitter) page on September 8. The former First Lady states in the clip that “the 2020 election results changed our lives forever.” Mrs. Trump claimed it impacted many aspects — “quality of life, cost of food, gasoline, safety, and even the geopolitical landscape.” Without naming President Biden, she criticized the administration and stated, “America is more divided today than ever before.”
In the short video, she also stated, “It has become increasingly apparent that there are significant challenges to free speech,” which she believes is “demonstrated by the efforts to silence” her husband. Mrs. Trump has mostly opted to abstain from public speaking during the 2024 US presidential campaign thus far. However, her latest video statement comes as part of promoting her self-titled memoir. Her website states that the “Melania” memoir will include “stories and images” that have never been shared with the public before.
Earlier this month, Melania Trump shared in another video that writing the memoir has been “a deeply personal and reflective journey” for her. She said that she is a “private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation.” However, she has now taken the “responsibility to clarify the facts.” The former First Lady of the United States also believes it is important to share her “perspective — the truth.”
