Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good announced their engagement at the 2024 EBONY Power 100 Gala. The couple walked the red carpet together when Good showed off the big rock on her ring finger. While talking to E! News, the actor shared that the gala holds a special place for her and her fiancé since this is where she met Majors two years ago “in the unisex bathroom.” The 43-year-old said, “EBONY Power 100 is the event that we met at in the bathrooms.”
Earlier this year, Good got candid about her relationship with Majors during an appearance on the “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” show. She said, “The support that we’ve been able to give each other, the pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care, and the thoughtfulness, it’s been really, just really wonderful.”
When the show hosts asked Good about supporting Majors during his legal troubles, the actor admitted “everyone advised” her to wait and see how it turned out. However, Good enunciated, “At the end of the day, one thing I know is I can always look myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum, I can always look and say, ‘Okay, I’m proud of that.'” She added that no matter what happens, she has “peace” and “harmony” in her heart.
“I take everyone I love’s opinion and advice into account, for sure, but at the end of the day, I’m the one who has to live my life,” Good acknowledged. The actor further said she wants to be responsible for her choices, adding, “I also want to live the life that I want to live.”
