SpaceX is planning the launch of its Starship Flight 6 this week after it was rescheduled previously. The launch will now happen on November 19 within a 30-minute launch window that opens at 4 p.m. CT. Space X announced the launch last week, sharing photos of the Starship mega-rocket stacked at the launch mount. It will launch from the company’s Starbase site in South Texas. Elon Musk also posted the announcement on X (formerly Twitter). Meanwhile, space enthusiasts will get the chance to witness the launch live.

The 30-minute launch window for Starship Flight 6 launch will open on Tuesday, November 19, at 4 p.m. CT (5 p.m. ET). A live webcast of the flight test will begin half an hour before the takeoff. Viewers can watch the launch live on the website or its X (formerly Twitter) page — @SpaceX. Starship comprises two fully reusable elements — the upper stage Starship aircraft and the booster stage Super Heavy rocket.
According to Space X, this transportation is “designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond.” Calling it the most powerful launch system ever developed, the website states it can carry 100 people on long interplanetary flights. The first five test flights were implemented in April and November 2023, and this year’s March, June, and October.
Starship’s fifth flight test on October 13 marked a significant moment on its first attempt. The Super Heavy booster successfully returned to the launch site while the upper-stage Starship aircraft continued its flight, resulting in controlled entry and landing in a targeted area in the Indian Ocean, Meanwhile, the sixth test hopes to achieve new objectives.
The website highlights the objectives as follows: 1) The return of the booster to the launch site for the catch; 2) The reignition of a ship Raptor engine in space; 3) The testing of heatshield experiments as well as maneuvering changes to facilitate the ship’s re-entry and descent over the Indian Ocean.
SpaceX has been updating its followers on X with every step of the Starship aircraft until the launch. Moreover, President-elect Donald Trump is planning to attend the launch on Tuesday. According to AP News, the Federal Aviation Administration has issued temporary flight restrictions over Brownsville and Boca Chica, Texas, for a VIP visit that merges with the launch’s timeline.
