BTS Jin Reacts to RM’s Viral Saxophone Photo on Jimmy Fallon’s Show

BTS member Jin appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday to talk about his newly released album “Happy.” During his interaction with host Jimmy Fallon, the K-pop star talked about fellow member and BTS leader RM‘s viral saxophone photo. For those unaware, RM played the saxophone while welcoming Jin after the latter’s military discharge. While the singer was greeted by all six members, it was RM’s performance that went viral.

BTS singer Jin says it was too hectic to notice what RM was playing for him

During his appearance on Jimmy Fallon‘s late-night talk show, BTS’ vocalist Jin reflected on his military discharge when all the other members — RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — welcomed him with open arms. The host showed him and the audience a photo of their reunion where RM was spotted playing the saxophone. The BTS leader played the boy group’s hit song “Dynamite” on the instrument.

When Fallon asked what RM was jamming to, Jin recalled that it was very hectic, given his military discharge. The BTS member confessed that he was not sure of RM’s actions back then. However, Jin revealed that he was aware of the leader playing something for him. The audience erupted in laughter when the host asked if Jin was even aware of the performance. To this, the guest jokingly said, “To be honest, I didn’t even know that he was there.”

Jin echoed similar sentiments in an interview with Weverse Magazine. He confessed to only finding out about RM’s saxophone performance of “Dynamite” in the video later. The BTS vocalist explained that he was used to hearing a saxophone in army band recordings during discharge or enlistment ceremonies. Therefore, he assumed it was the same music at his military discharge as well. Jin recalled feeling overwhelmed then but expressed his gratitude to RM for coming.

Meanwhile, on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Jin also talked about being the torchbearer for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The singer even taught the choreography of his hit song “Super Tuna” to host Jimmy Fallon. He also performed a live rendition of the song “Running Wild” from his latest album, “Happy.”
