Bruce Willis made a rare appearance in daughters’ Thanksgiving photos amid his ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia. The film star stepped away from acting in 2022 due to his health issues. However, his family has been open about his diagnosis and has also been sharing updates since he left the Hollywood spotlight. Willis’ latest appearance came on Thanksgiving when his daughters — Tallulah Willis and Scout Willis — who he shares with his ex-wife, Demi Moore, posted heartwarming photos with their dad.
Bruce Willis holds up ‘Best Dad Ever’ plaque in Thanksgiving photos
Bruce Willis spent this year’s Thanksgiving with two of his daughters, Tallulah and Scout Willis. They shared a touching photo on their Instagram. The two sat next to their father, who was holding up a “Best Dad Ever” plaque in his hands. Tallulah wrote in the caption, “Grateful,” followed by a hug emoji. Meanwhile, Willis was all smiles as his daughters lovingly sat beside him.
After Willis’ daughters shared the Thanksgiving photos, fans rushed to the comments section to thank the two for sharing an update on the legendary actor. A user emotionally wrote, “I am grateful for these photos of your wonderful father, a man with a beautiful soul and heart. Thank you for sharing this with his fans who love him and remember him.”
Bruce Willis’ family announced in March 2022 that he had developed a disorder called aphasia, which affects writing and speaking. The following year, Willis’ definitive diagnosis came out as frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The condition can affect communication and behavior. Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, has been open about the family’s story and challenges with FTD.
In a recent interview with Town & Country, Emma shared, “I’m trying to find that balance between the grief and the sadness that I feel, which can just crack open at any given moment, and finding joy.” She also noted although she feels better now, it hasn’t gotten “any easier.” Emma explained, “I’ve had to get used to what’s happening so that I can be grounded in what is, so that I can support our children.”
