Song Premiere: Sunflower Dead – ‘Starting Over Again’

There’s a powerful new group on the rise featuring members of Droid, Two Hit Creeper, Buckethead and In This Moment, and in anticipation of the Aug. 21 release of their self-titled debut CraveOnline is bringing you an exclusive premiere of the Sunflower Dead’s new song “Starting Over Again”.

Having carved the album’s sound in Temple Studios (owned by Raymond Herrera of Fear Factory and B Real of Cyrpress Hill) with Christian Olde Wolbers (Fear Factory), Sunflower Dead has produced their 11- track self-titled debut record, which we’ll see later this month through Bloody Bat Records LLC. Co-produced and mixed by Jeremy Blair (Guns N’ Roses, DevilDriver) at Temple and House of Blues Studios, and mastered by Robert Hadley (Korn) at The Mastering Lab, the album has a tight, punchy sound with crushing low end and ultra wide sonics.

Have an exclusive listen to “Starting Over Again” below:

This record has been called an intense, in your face, emotionally charged roller coaster of dark, aggressive, and spell-bindingly dynamic heaviness with no shortage of anthemic sing along vocals.

“Sunflower Dead are a refreshing sound with a great vocal range, not like your average current metal/rock band,” commented producer Christian Olde Wolbers. “This is just the debut, but Sunflower Dead have tremendous potential to break in a bigger market and they have proved it with this strong debut.”

“This album is fucking dope,” added co-producer Jeremy Blair. “This band came in with the record they wanted to make and it was a pleasure to help them accomplish their goal without any outside negative influences.  The songs, the playing, and hooks are sick.  I believe this record will be huge.”

If you’re looking to dig deeper, the band recently released an EPK teaser as well. Check it out below:
