Brand new Australian music festival Listen Out has revealed its debut lineup just days after promoters announced they were done with the famous Parklife summer lead-up festival, rebranding it as a new Intelligent Dance Music event.
Headlining the 2013 national tour is rising English duo Disclosure, Azealia Banks, TNGHT and Duke Dumont among others.
Promoters Fuzzy has been quick to declare Listen Out as a boutique, “anti-festival” intent on bringing intelligent dance music to four wonderful outdoor locations across Australia.
“It is a carefully handcrafted party, with a killer lineup of the dance music that matters and a philosophy of best, not biggest,” described Fuzzy earlier this week when the festival was announced. “Say goodbye to endless timetable clashes, long hikes to the 12th stage and spending your day with several thousand people you can’t relate to. Listen Out is the right party, and we mean party not festival, for the right people.”
Led by upcoming brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, Disclosure’s recent rise to fame has been notable- their full length debut release, Settle, reached number one in the UK and fifth in the Australian charts after being released on June 3.
