San Francisco pop-rockers Solwave have returned with a new track from their ongoing singles series, and CraveOnline’s got the exclusive premiere!
A little bit Talking Heads, a little bit The Strokes and a whole lotta passion make for an infectious new single from Solwave called “Leo,” which you can hear today exclusively on CraveOnline. Solwave may be young, but the band has had no shortage of accomplishments in their brief history. Back in February Solwave recorded with Gordon Raphael, producer of The Strokes, as well as worked with with King Of Leon’s mastering engineer, Richard Dodd. The results speak for themselves, and the band is offering up a collection of single tracks rather than attack the music world with a full LP right off.
While their average age is a mere 22, Joe Collins (keys/ vocals) and the Ferdon brothers (bass and guitar) have been writing songs together for nearly a decade, building a 100-song catalogue and vast range. When drummer Moise Seri joined in 2012, the band locked into the groove they were waiting for. Check out “Leo” below, exclusively premiered on CraveOnline:
Also check out the band’s “I Won’t Wait” video, because gorgeous girls in a pillowfight is always a perfect musical accompaniment.
