Offbeat UK singer-songwriter Cosmo Jarvis is heading to Australia for an 11-date East Coast tour in October.
A hit in Australia after receiving airplay on Triple J for atypical hits such as ‘Gay Pirates’ and ‘Sure As Hell Not Jesus’, Cosmo Jarvis is hitting up the expected major cities in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney while also stopping in at a number of smaller destinations including Ballarat and Castlemaine.
The Triple J love has helped Jarvis build a massive Australian following, making light of industry stereotypes via some odd and hilarious music videos.
Jarvis spent some time in Australia last year after appearances at the Falls Festival and Southbound and is heading back to his adopted home with a tour built around a performance in October’s Fat As Butter festival.
“The turnout of the gigs is just ridiculous [in Australia],” Jarvis told RipItUp during his last visit.
“It’s really weird. I played a home show in my own town and maybe 40 people showed up, maybe, but in like Sydney I can play a gig and it won’t look like a f***ing joke! It’s great!”
