Australian indie rock band Loon Lake have released, ‘Carolina’, the first single from their upcoming, and debut, full-length album, Gloamer.
Gloamer is set for an October 11 release and will be supported by a national tour to hit Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide across mid-October.
Vocalist Sam Nolan says ‘Carolina’ is a story about lost love. “The truth is that there is no one Carolina. Carolina can be anyone’s anyone. Carolina is the one who got away, the one you still think about from time to time, the love that could have lasted a lifetime, if only …”
Consisting of brothers Sam (vocals, guitar), Simon (guitar) and Nick(drums) plus Dan (guitar) and Tim (bass); Loon Lake are finally set to release their first full studio album after having dropped two EPs over the past two years.
The boys initially moved from regional Victorian town Tarrawingee to Melbourne to find a fifth member for the band before working with producer Robin Mai, who has been a part of previous Nick Cave and John Butler albums, to procude debut EP Not Just Friends. Gloamer is co-produced by Steven Schram (San Cisco, Little Red, The Vasco Era) and drummer Nick Nolan.
