New Video Game Releases: September 29th to October 5th, 2013

We’ve got a huge week on our hands.

First up is the debut of GTA Online. It seems like forever ago that Rockstar Games delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto V‘s online component until two-weeks after release. While the wait has been miserable, we’ll all finally be able to enjoy the sandbox environment of Los Santos with our friends. That means robbing stores, pimping out cars, and making a name for our virtual selves. It’s worth noting that if you don’t own a copy of GTA V you’ll be able to purchase a standalone copy of GTA Online. It’s going to be the rage this week so tell your friends.

Basketball season is coming up and that means NBA 2K14 is ready to hoop. As the final release of the current generation, it features Lebron James on the cover and tightens down the series’ popular gameplay with updated dribbling controls and a new quick-dash move. You can experience the likeness of King James with the new Path to Greatness mode, or try to conquer pick-up games in Crew mode. With tons of options your craving for basketball action is sure to be fed.

SCE Japan Studio releases Rain this week, which features a compelling adventure for PS3 owners. Or, if you’re more of a Nintendo gamer, then you can pick up a retail copy of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.
