Last weekend’s trip to New Orleans was an absolute blast, covering the Voodoo 2013 festival where Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Reignwolf and more rocked our faces off. The festival also featured a strong cross-section of EDM, with artists including Big Gigantic, Beats Antique and Rudimental leading fans through a supercharged beatfest and lightshow on the Le Plur stage throughout the weekend.
Rudimental brought live instrumentation to their EDM-centric set, providing a dynamic performance range with a full band, multiple vocalists and a wildly ebullient audience. Led by engaging frontman Kesi, the Rudimental collective demanded to see people on each others’ shoulders for the party, overzealous security be damned.
While on site we conducted a barrage of interviews with a bunch of our favorite artists on the Voodoo Fest bill, and had the chance to sit down with Rudimental to talk about their immersive, incredible videos, working with Nas and more.
