Evolve is the next game to be released by Turtle Rock, the same studio which released both Left 4 Dead games. Although it aims to be a compelling co-operative experience like Left 4 Dead, it ditches the zombie format for aliens, and a modern setting for one of post-apocalyptic nature. The four-player, high intensity style that the studio is known for has been retained, though.
If you look above you can see the world’s first publicly released image of the game environment. Turtle Rock wanted to emphasize that although the game follows some of the same ideologies as Left 4 Dead, it really is a whole different beast. Tropical and flora dense environments are common, and the aliens are a serious threat to your survival. You’ll want to bring a few competent friends along for the ride.

Yes, it’s being published by 2K Games. It’s banking on the game’s success having invested 10.8 million U.S. dollars for the IP during THQ’s auction.
