Adored British quintet Foals have announced that they will return to the U.S. for a spring tour with Cage The Elephant that kicks off on May 2nd. If you’re into hipster chicks screaming lustily, this is the show for you.
The Oxford band have made several visits to the U.S. over the past year, including a headlining tour last spring, as well as appearances at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands since the release of their third album Holy Fire. The Flood & Moulder-produced album has received effusive critical praise:
Foals and Holy Fire were nominated for the 2013 Mercury Prize and won the Q Award for Best Live Act. Holy Fire was voted “Album of the Year” by fans in NME’s 2013 poll with their track My Number nabbing “Track of the Year.”
In October, Foals released their first-ever DVD, entitled Live at the Royal Albert Hall, which was recorded during a sold-out show at the historic London venue on March 28, 2013. While you’re in the anticipatory spirit, check out 20 Rock Albums We Can’t Wait To Hear in 2014.
