A bunch of Australian bands have made their way onto another major international festival lineup, this time it’s the recently announced Bonnaroo 2014.
Bonnaroo will feature five much-loved Aussie acts when the festival boots up for a 12th edition in Manchester, Tennessee, this June for four days of camping and world class music.
Playing alongside headliners Elton John and Kanye West, who just launched an Australian tour of his own, are Jack White, Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, Skrillex and the Arctic Monkeys.
Joining the massive collection of talent are Aussie veterans Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, stilling on the touring scene after dropping their 15th and first No.1 studio album, Push The Sky Away, early last year.
Also on the Bonnaroo bill are roots-rock heroes John Butler Trio, who will head across to the US mid-year after first embarking on a huge Australian national tour and a performance at the 25th Bluesfest in March and April.
Vance Joy’s hugely successful ‘Riptide’ has turned the singer-songwriter into one of our biggest exports before the release of a debut LP. The Hottest 100 winner will be joined by electro duo Cut Copy and The Preatures, who enjoyed a quick rise to fame in 2013 and are set for appearances at other major US festivals this year including Coachella and SXSW.
Enthusiastic Aussie fans can grab tickets to the festival from February 22.
