Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls might be three weeks away, but Blizzard has given you a very compelling reason to log in before then.
Following up to the release of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, all players will receive a 50% experience boost. If you’ve ever wanted to level a new class to 60, now’s your best chance.
Made better, the Diablo 3‘s feature-packed 2.0.1 patch debuted yesterday and brought a vast array of exciting changes. Among those changes are the following:
- New feature: Clans & Communities – To better enable players to find and play with others who share similar interests, two new social features have been added to Diablo III: Clans and Communities.
- New Event: Cursed Chests – Chests scattered about Sanctuary are now occasionally cursed, starting an event once they are inspected. Some chest events spawn in both Campaign and Adventure modes, while others are exclusive to Adventure mode.
- Itemization Updates (Loot 2.0) – Treasure seekers rejoice! Loot has undergone several changes in Patch 2.0.1, all of which are designed to improve the item hunt in Diablo III.
- Paragon Updates – The Paragon leveling system has undergone several significant revisions to promote additional diversity and character customization past level cap.
- Class Updates – All classes have undergone significant revision.
- Difficulty Updates – The difficulty system has been completely revised. Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno have been removed, and this tiered system has been replaced with “dynamic difficulty,” allowing monsters to level up with your characters.
- Monster Updates – Several new potential affixes for elite and champion monsters have been added: Frozen Pulse, Orbiter, Poison Enchanted, Thunderstorm, and Wormhole.
- Crafting Updates – Crafting has received several quality of life changes.
In a way, Diablo 3 has evolved into the game that Diablo fans have been starving for, even without the expansion. Many of the features and adjustments are in response to player feedback.
I’ve been compelled enough to start a new character and have been shocked at how fast I’ve leveled in addition to how well the difficulty and loot is handled now. If you love Diablo, I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised as well.
