Sia Mobilises Fans Against Dry Cleaner

Notoriously publicity shy Australian singer-songwriter Sia Furler has been utilising her 465,000 Twitter fans to enact revenge on an errant New York dry cleaner who she claims ruined her wardrobe.

“Suggestions for revenge/pranks on dry cleaner who ruined favorite things and won’t take responsibility? Please discuss,” tweeted the hit-maker earlier this morning. As Sia later informed, the dry cleaner in question is Metropolitan Garment Cleaning in New York.

When it was suggested by one Twitter follower to file a small claim online Sia claims the dry cleaner told her, “‘I been taken to small claim court many time, don’t try to scare me, my insurance pay for lawyer, you no win.'” Other notable suggestions from fans championed by Sia included sewing some prawns into the hem of old curtains then leaving them uncollected and smearing underwear with chocolate.

The winning strategy however was to “write ridiculous terrible reviews” on the dry cleaner’s Yelp business page. However, at this point in time, 9 reviews have been removed from the site for violating content guidelines, while the remainder seem to have backfired against Sia.

“Awesome job at garment cleaning and also ‘airing out the laundry’ of Sia Furler to the world. I guess some stars and wealthy people think simple mistakes are attacks against them,” reads a recent one.

The ploy at least seems to have dissipated Sia’s anger for now, with her latest tweet reading, “Moving on. Thanks guys!”
