David Bowie is set to swiftly follow up on the success of his last album The Next Day, as the legendary artist has revealed that he will be releasing “more music soon.”
In an event held at London’s 12 Bar to celebrate 50 years of his music, Bowie issued this statement that was read out to those in attendance:
“This city is even better than the one you were in last year, so remember to dance, dance, dance. And then sit down for a minute, knit something, then get up and run all over the place. Do it. Love on ya. More music soon. David”
The Next Day, which was Bowie’s 24th studio album, was well-received by critics and fans alike, with it coming in at number 14 on our ‘Best Albums of 2013′ awards. It was widely speculated that Bowie would embark upon a tour following the album’s release, but those rumors never came to fruition.
Given that his last album was released with no fanfare in 2013, we could be in for another surprise with his next release. Here’s hoping.
