With PS4 owners preparing to venture into post-apocalyptic America once again in The Last of Remastered, some talented folks have been hard at work producing images of what the game would look like if it was “demastered” to appear on the PS1.
The below images, created by NeoGAF user plainr_, shows what it would look like if Joel and Ellie’s gruelling journey through the Infected-ridden USA would look like if it had first appeared on the original PlayStation rather than the PS3.
These images inspired NeoGAF user KyleFedora to follow suit, showing what an encounter with a terrifying Clicker would look like if The Last of Us was developer Naughty Dog’s flagship franchise in the ’90s instead of Crash Bandicoot.
The Last of Us Remastered is set to release on the PS4 on July 29th, 2014. Meanwhile, The Last of Us Demastered exists only in your wildest dreams.
