First, let's take on the most important detail about Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition. This is a consolized version of Diablo 3 which also includes the Reaper of Souls expansion that debuted on PC earlier in the year.
For PS3 and Xbox 360, which already saw Diablo 3 last year, this is an opportunity to enjoy the expansion content. Or, if you missed it altogether, you get everything the original release and expansion had to offer.
For PS4 and Xbox One, this is the game's introduction to next-gen. You'll be able to play all of Diablo 3's content with the benefits of next-gen hardware.
As we learned with the last-gen release, Diablo 3 plays great with a controller, and is one heck of a local multiplayer co-operative game.

1080p/60FPS on Xbox One and PS4
If you happen to own a next-gen console, you'll notice the drastic improvements to visual fidelity. Unlike the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions which played at 720p with around 30 FPS, the PS4 and Xbox One versions have crystal clear images that run smoothly, hitting the 1080p/60 FPS mark.
As with all of Blizzard's games, Diablo 3 has a fantastic presentation, so being able to enjoy it at its best is nothing to take lightly.

Transfer your character over with ease
Blizzard has made sure that those who have already played Diablo 3 on consoles are able to pick up where they left off with the Ultimate Evil Edition. As a matter of fact, it's gone as far as to allow you to import your character from any given platform. For example, if you made the jump from Xbox 360 to PS4 this last year, your time investment isn't lost. No matter what platform you would prefer to play Ultimate Evil Edition on, you'll be able to continue where your adventure left off.

The PlayStation versions have exclusive enemies and armor
Sony has partnered with Blizzard to bring exclusive content to the PS3 and PS4 versions of Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition. This content includes a special Nephalem Rift that has several The Last of Us enemies in it, including the Runner and Clicker. Also, there's a transmogrification armor set themed after Shadow of the Colossus. This content isn't available anywhere else.

Exact revenge with the Nemesis System
Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition includes what is called the Nemesis System. How it works is when a player dies to a monster, that monster enters the game of a player on the killed player's friend list. However, the monster isn't the same as before. Instead, it'll have become stronger and gained new powers from killing the player, making it a serious threat.
As intimidating as Nemesis enemies are, they provide great reward for those who are able to defeat them.
They will be easily identifiable in the environment, and include the name of the killed player so you can tell them you exacted revenge on their behalf.

Apprentice Mode makes it easier to play with friends
A new mode has been added to the Ultimate Evil Edition which focuses on the social side of Diablo 3. How it works is when two players of different level are grouped, the lower level player will have his or her stats boosted to match that of the level of the higher level character.
This system resolves the common complaint on the PC version of Diablo 3 where players need to stay within close level proximity with friends in order to level in an efficient manner—if you don't, the lower level character becomes dead weight. In Ultimate Evil Edition, that simply isn't a problem.
