Following this morning’s announcement of the Falls Festival 2014 lineup, the official lineup for Southbound 2015 has now been announced, with big-name acts such as alt-J, Milky Chance, Jamie XX and SBTRKT set to bring in the new year at the West Australian festival in Busselton this January.
UK indie outfit alt-J feature prominently on the 2015 lineup, and they’re sure to have a slew of new tracks ready for Australian audiences next year, as they move towards releasing their second studio album “This Is All Yours” on September 19th. Fellow UK act Glass Animals will also appear alongside Kim Churchill and Canberra trio SAFIA.
As usual, Southbound 2015 takes most of its lineup from sister festival Falls, with only Tensnake and Big Freedia exclusive to Falls Festival so far this year. The lineup also features The Black Lips, Joey Bada$$, Todd Terje and home-grown talent like Bluejuice, Jagwar Ma, The Temper Trap and Vance Joy.
A “mystery” Falls Festival headliner is expected to be revealed on triple j later today. It remains unclear whether this act will also play at Southbound 2015, so stay tuned to Crave for all the latest as it comes to hand.
