The world of entertainment is poised to take a big step forward – and maybe a big step back – and Most Craved is here to tell you all about it. But the big story this week isn’t about the past, it’s about the future. Netflix has announced that it will release an original film, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend, this summer. Theaters are pissed off and are refusing to carry the film’s simultaneous IMAX release, but should they really be worried? Is Netflix making a mountain out of a molehill, turning an unwanted sequel to a hit film that probably would have gone straight-to-video anyway and acting like it’s a major shift in the entertainment industry? Or are the days of movie theaters numbered?
